Hello 👋. My name is Paul Edwards and I'm a professional Software Architect and Engineer, contractor and Director of Lava Software. I've been developing web sites since 2000, web apps (including "Rich Internet Applications") since 2005, mobile sites since 2012 and mobile apps since 2018. I also wrote programs on the Sinclair ZX Spectrum back in the day, too, but I digress...

Experienced in both front-end and back-end development, I specialise in building modern, cross-platform applications with Microsoft technologies (C#, .NET, Azure), JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, React with MobX and MUI, Angular (and very occasionally jQuery 🤫), HTML, SCSS and Bootstrap, as well as having experience with Umbraco CMS, Xamarin.Forms / .NET MAUI and Unity Engine.

With a particular interest in the personal, professional and commercial opportunities and benefits presented by web-enabled mobile devices, I have a bachelor's degree in business, a master's degree in computer science and enjoy harnessing new technologies for work, professional development and fun. I'm also far more interesting than I sound. Honest.
